Hello, I am John Kingston. Over the last ten years, I have transitioned from an avid "picture taker" to a fine art photographer. I like to make images of the landscape as well as objects that are aging gracefully or objects that express the beauty of imperfection. You may know this as Wabi Sabi. I live in western Canada in the province of Alberta. My part of the world has a varied landscape from rolling prairies, foot hills and the Rocky Mountains. I also like to travel and photograph the amazing landscapes in the world. I think of photography as a journey - I am constantly learning new techniques and new ways of looking at the world. My images are my view point at a moment in time. I often go back to places I have photographed and discover new views - often surprising myself because it is like seeing anew.
